The life of the mind
in the heart of the city
New York ~ June 27 - July 10, 2010
Acknowledging the centrality of the Judeo-Christian perspective to the Western Tradition of thought, this course focuses on the conceptions of human nature and articulations of the Divine afforded by that perspective. In an effort to understand the relationship between God and man, we examine the virtue of faith and the roles human reason and free will play in the life of faith. Our study will be guided by the writings of St. Thomas Aquinas, C. S. Lewis, Romano Guardini, and others.
